Rearview Mirror Car Speakerphone Kit
Keep both hands free while you drive.
Statistics show that drivers speaking on a cell phone are four times more
likely to be involved in an accident. In fact, a growing number of states
have outlawed the use of cell phones by drivers unless they are hands
free.
Our car speaker cell phone kit converts
any phone with a 2.5mm handsfree jack
(adapters included for use with other phones, see list below) into a car speaker-phone formally found only in luxury
automobiles. Simply plug the mirror into the jack where
you currently plug in your handsfree headset.
Active background noise filtering and echo cancellation ensure that you voice can be heard
clearly by the other party. The direct connection through the 2.5mm
jack means that it sounds even better than our universal speakerphone
kit. The mic will pick up your voice perfectly because it is
located on the left edge of the mirror.
Unlike one piece "navigator" type speakerphone products
that takes up valuable space as it mounts on your car's cigarette lighter
plug, the mirror clamps onto your existing rear view mirror and stays
completely out of your way.
Installation is really simple. 1) Just attach the mirror to
your existing rear view mirror. 2) Plug the power cable from the mirror into your cigarette lighter / vehicle power socket. 3) Finally, plug
the audio cable from the mirror into your phone's 2.5mm
jack (adapters included for use with other phones, see list below). You can either route the two cables under your headliner and
trim, or use the included clips to secure them around your window.
Another advantage over "navigator" type speakerphones is
that the mirror attaches using your phone's standard 2.5mm
jack (adapters included for use with other phones, see list below).
That means you will be able to continue to use the mirror speakerphone
when you upgrade to your next phone. Also, family members with a
different phone will also be able to enjoy talking hands free.
Note:
- The Rearview Mirror Touch mirror can only clamp onto rear
view mirrors without built-in electronics. If your rear view mirror
has an auto-dimming feature for night driving or a built in compass, then
the mirror will not work with it. Why? Rear view mirrors
with built-in electronics are too thick for the mirror's clamps.
You can still use your universal speakerphone kit.
- The mirror will only work with a universal 2.5mm jack. The
Nokia 33xx/82xx/88xx phones' 2.5mm jack is not a standard universal
2.5mm jack. An adapter is required. The one included with
work for most in the 33xx/82xx/88xx series except for the 8260.
